Annie's Cottage, Well Cottage and The Chapel, are all part of a historic grade II listed building known as Manston Court.
The property is situated on the edge of Manston Village, which is centrally located on the Isle of Thanet, giving easy access to the variety of local sandy beaches and costal villages. Dover and Folkestone are only a 30 and 45 minute drive away, for those who would like to venture further afield, and the historic City of Canterbury is even closer, if a day of culture or shopping is what is required. But for those wanting to stay closer to home, Westwood Cross Shopping Centre is only 2 miles away, with its many shops, restaurants and a multi screen cinema.
Annie's Cottage is the larger of the two, one bedroomed cottages. It sleeps between 2 and 4 people, and has a wealth of exposed brick work, beams and flint walls, enhancing the character of the property. Annie's Cottage is an ideal place for a relaxing romantic break, and with the bed settee in the sitting room, it gives the cottage the flexibility of having additional guests. Annies Cottage has a 4 Star rating from the English Tourism Council.
Well Cottage also sleeps between 2 and 4 people, but has a different sort of charm. Although it is a former well house and pump room, and sits above a 200' capped well, it is more modern in character than Annie's Cottage. Well Cottage is on one level, and is particularly popular with guests who have mobility issues. There is also a bed/settee in the sitting room, allowing for additional guests. Well Cottage has a 3 star rating from the English Tourism Council.
The Chapel is the largest of the three properties. It was converted in 2009 into a luxury, three bedroom, self catering property. This building is the oldest in Manston Court, and dates back to the 13th century. The full size pool table, Wii and play station in the sitting room, as well as the first floor open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, make this lovely property perfect for both young families, as well as entertaining adults.
The main bedroom on the first floor has a king size 4 poster bed and a chandelier. All of the bedrooms are double in size, and the two bedrooms on the second floor have 5 foot zip link beds, allowing them to either remain as a double, or to become two single beds. All bedrooms have their own ensuite, as well as a 22 inch flat screen television with an inbuilt dvd.
To allow for greater flexibility, there are two single 3 foot portable beds, a 4 foot double portable bed, and a travel cot available, allowing for additional guests in any of the rooms. With the additional bedding, The Chapel can sleep between 6 and 10 people. In addition, The Chapel has its own private garden with a barbeque area, allowing for alfresco dining.
