Let’s Visit has reached the grand old age of one and, just like our website, the year gone by has been exciting, amazing and a great experience!
We happen to think we are the most exciting and interactive way to experience Kent, and, whilst we know we are blowing our own trumpet on that one, we are extremely proud of the fact that Travelmole, the main online community for the travel and tourism industry, thought so too. We were one of just four finalists, shortlisted among over 60 applications, to be in the category of “Best tourist board” for their 2011 travel website awards earlier in the year…no mean feat after just one year!
We wouldn’t say that our first year has been easy- any business is hard work in these turbulent economic times- but fortunately we’ve been lucky to have fantastic feedback from both our advertisers and viewers on how we are performing for them. And as we are always seeking ways to improve and keep up-to-date with the needs of our customers, we’ve not stopped at oodles of listings. We’ve added our latest feature to the website… Kent events! You can now keep track on a huge array of happenings all around Kent! And we are proud to say that within one month, our events page was, and has continued to be, on page one on Google for key search terms, (try searching Google for events in Kent and see for yourself) meaning we reach the masses each and every day!
At Let’s visit we recognise that social media is hugely important in our modern day life and that’s why we keep very active in this wonderful world of cyber space. We now have over 2200 Facebook followers alone to keep informed and entertained! And that we do, for example with our “Funday Monday’s”, with fun facts, videos and competitions- just our way to put a little sparkle into what is generally known as the gloomiest day of the week!
We’ve also racked up thousands of people on our newsletter mailing list and reach the masses with our eye-catching and upbeat monthly newsletters, jam-packed with the latest and greatest news from Let’s Visit and the Garden of England!
Let’s Visit was born to inject a little happiness into the holiday planning experience in Kent and we think we have done just that! Now we cant wait to “Let’s Visit” our second year!!
