Saturday Night’s Alright For Laughing

If the darkening days and the lack of sunshine are starting to get you down, then what you need is some music, glitz and fun – and there’s no place better for a big old dose of sparkle than a variety show. Raising money for Academy FM and the Cancer Care Appeal, at the same time as entertaining you, Horace’s Saturday Night’s Alright For Laughing variety show at the Winter Gardens in Margate promises to be just the kind of glamorous entertainment to put a spring back into your step and banish SAD. It’s also a nice opener to the Christmas party season and guaranteed to be fantastic fun for all the family.

There’s plenty of local celeb action with the chance to meet the 107.8 Academy FM presenters, Pete Willson, Mike Stevens, Matt Appleby and Andy Theoff, who will all be making an appearance to show their support for the event. As if that wasn’t enough there’s also a line-up with more pizzazz than a whole room full of X-Factor contestants.

Thanet Stage School will be providing a does of glam, along with Highlander and the Bettesteiner Stomp Band, a Bavarian style Oompah band playing thigh slapping, foot stomping tunes. Along side that there will be entertainment from pupils and teachers from the Marlowe Academy, as well as Dover based folkish band ‘Gentlemen of Few’.

All that, in just one night!

Saturday Night’s Alright For Laughing takes place on 27th November at 7.30pm in the Winter Gardens Margate. Tickets are £6 for Adults and £3 for children, or you can buy a family ticket for £15 (which covers entry for 2 adults and 2 Children). So grab a ticket, dust down your best party clothes and ready yourself to be entertained!
