About Broadstairs Bandstand

Broadstairs benefits hugely from its historic bandstand, with regular concerts and musical entertainment being held here.

It was originally built during the Victorian era, allowing lively musicians to play music to tourists taking a stroll along the Promenade, looking out to Viking Bay below. This tradition lives on, with bands playing on Sunday afternoons between 2 and 4pm throughout the summer months.

In the second week of August each year, the town holds the Broadstairs Folk Week music festival, with smaller gigs being held at the bandstand.

It also benefits from a cafe on-site so you won’t need to leave the action to find yourself a drink or an icecream for the kids!
