About Cushing's View
Cushing's View is a local beauty spot and named after the famous English actor Peter Cushing who died in 1994 aged 81 in Whitstable, where he was well known as a local celebrity. He died just five years after he was made an Officer of the British Empire, in recognition of his contributions to the acting profession both in Britain and worldwide. It is said that he liked to sit and enjoy the view with its central location and close proximity to the high street. It is very popular with both visitors and locals alike.
The Neptune pub sits virtually on the beach, and is a nice spot for a drink and some lunch.
