The recreation ground is an attractive stretch of open green in the heart of Teneterden town. There is a large children’s play area, including an attractive climbing frame in the shape of a train called the "Tenterden flyer".

It is a venue for many events particularly in the summer months. The recreation ground is home to the local Tenterden junior football team.

There is pay and display parking at a fee of 80p per hour.
