About The Turner Contemporary Gallery
Situated on Margate’s seafront, on the same site where Turner stayed when visiting the town, the Turner Contemporary Gallery is the largest exhibition space in the South East, outside of London.
Inspired by the renowned artist JMW Turner, the gallery is at the forefront of Margate’s exciting revival as Kent’s new cultural heart and offers a space for everyone to embrace their curiosity and to discover different ways of seeing, thinking and learning by offering temporary exhibitions, events and learning opportunities.
