Let's visit...

parks & gardens in Kent

Ever heard the song ‘In an English country garden’? If the way you roll is all RnB, this one may have passed you by – but this traditional little ditty really could have been written about the grand parks and gardens of Kent. It’s so Kentish, in fact, that it’s even been sung by Rolf Harris and Nana Mouskouri, both natives of our fair county. (OK, we may be stretching the truth a little.)

What is true is that visitors in their droves come to the ‘Garden of England’, as Kent is colloquially known – and you’ll find out exactly how it earned this impressive title when you click through onto our ‘Parks and gardens’ section to take a look at our fabulous high-definition video listings.

We personally feel that no trip to Kent is complete without a stroll – or two – in one of our idyllic public gardens or delightful parks. It’s a little bite of English perfection to soothe and inspire every one of the senses. Go on, give a tree a hug – it just might hug you back.
